As important and beneficial as monetary donations are for charitable organizations, they’re not the only way you can give back and make a difference. Every once in awhile, it’s important to take a more active role in your community and work directly with those who need your help.

That’s exactly what Initial.IT team recently did, when we had the chance to work with the residents of the Delores Project. The Delores Project offers safe, comfortable shelter and personalized services for unaccompanied women and transgender individuals experiencing homelessness. We’re proud to support their efforts by contributing both finances and time to the program volunteering to help plan, shop, prepare, and serve a hot dinner to the residents.

We greatly enjoyed our experience with the Delores Project, working directly in the charitable setting, and gaining an enriching insight into the good that you can do when you commit to a cause like this one. We’re looking forward to our next chance to give back.
