The Initial.IT Team Takes a Swing at Team Building
Downtime at Initial.IT: Throwing a Few Axes & Reconnecting as a Team
If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that every single member of our team plays a vital role in how we work and serve our clients. Our team is committed to staying at their best so that they can provide reliable, enterprise-grade IT service and support to every client we work with.
But let’s be real – it’s not all rainbows and sunshine. Our team constantly finds themselves up against various challenges, which understandably leads to pent up frustration and fatigue. Every team member works hard to push through these difficulties and remains focused on priority number one – providing above-and-beyond customer service.
That’s why we like to remind our team how much we recognize and appreciate their commitment to service and support, especially when it isn’t easy. We believe in getting our team together, outside the office, to let off some steam and build stronger connections with each other. After all, we know that the more cohesive and connected our team feels, the better they’ll strategize for our clients.
Our most recent outing as a team was at a local axe throwing place called Axe Whooping. It ended up being the perfect escape for our team. We got together, blew off steam, and laughed together, and even posed for some fun team photos. It was a great opportunity for our team to work out some aggression and reconnect as comrades.
What Does Team Building Look Like for Initial.IT & Why We Think It’s Important
We’ve talked a lot about team building, but you might wonder what does team building look like for Initial.IT, and why are we committed to regular team-building exercises? To put it simply, for us, team building is all about bringing everyone together and optimizing our ability to work together, learn from each other, and keep moving forward.
The Initial.IT commitment to team building is all about:
- Clearing the air and getting on the same page
- Letting the little things go and remembering to laugh
- Increasing team connection and pursuing continual improvement
- Remembering to find and build friendship in professionalism
- Showing appreciation for each of our hardworking team members
Why is this so important to us? At the end of the day, it all comes back to our top two priorities: being the best employer for our employees and, most importantly, building and maintaining the best team for our clients.
These two things go hand-in-hand, without a doubt. The more effort we put into making our team members feel heard, appreciated, and connected, the better positioned they are to provide top-of-the-line service and support to our clients. For us, this is the most priceless investment we could ever make.
